WILL ADANI CREATE A BIGGER LEGACY THAN THE AMBANIS?

‘Smart businessman, politically savvy’ –The battle for the crown of the richest?

Gautam Shantilal Adani is an Indian billionaire industrialist and philanthropist. He is the chairman and founder of the Adani Group. Adani is now richer than Jack Ma & is India’s first -wealthiest person with a net worth of $56 billion. Unlike Mukesh Ambani who was born into a business family, Gautam Adani has his fair share of hardships before becoming one of the richest men in Asia. His father was a small textile merchant.

Mukesh Ambani heads Reliance Industries, which has ventures in petrochemicals, oil and gas, telecom, and retail. Gautam Adani’s Adani group’s ventures include ports, airports, infrastructure, commodities, coal, power generation and transmission, and real estate, according to Forbes.

Adani, the world’s sixth-richest person, has added almost $30 billion to his wealth this year, more than any other billionaire. His net worth of $106 billion is only about half of Tesla Inc.’s co-founder Elon Musk’s, but $10 billion more than Ambani’s.

Adani went after industrial and utility-scale customers in transportation, coal, and power. But they now have overlapping ambitions, for instance in renewables and media. The Adani group is ruling out any such plans. Analysts, too, are skeptical if it’s worth fighting over the sector.

Business Tycoon of India Mukesh Ambani is the essence of current Indian business that stands to speak to a striking picture of the Indian business area that is urbane, developing, and progressive. He will consistently be the master of business and the icon of each youthful Indian who tries to coordinate his abilities and become famous in the corporate world.

Adani’s rise to Asia’s richest has been eye-catching. According to the 2022 M3M Hurun Global Rich List released last month, while Ambani’s wealth grew by 400% in the last 10 years, Adani has seen a 1,830% increase in his wealth in the same period.

Gautam Adani’s wealth continues to grow at a brisk pace. After hitting the coveted $100 billion mark last week, the Adani Group chairman is now wealthier by $6 billion than Reliance Industries Ltd’s boss Mukesh Ambani.

Is the see-saw battle of fortune between Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani and Reliance Industries CMD Mukesh Ambani on the billionaires’ indexes going to continue?

Two of the biggest business tycoons in India, Mukesh Ambani, and Gautam Adani have been in rivalry for India’s richest for over a decade now, with Ambani winning most of the duels! But luckily for Adani, the tides have changed post the pandemic. Both the business magnets are not only competing with each other in terms of wealth but also in the various segments of their business.
